Curious about how collabs work, what happens after you apply, or where it could lead? We’ve answered a few of the things creators ask us most.
Do I need a big following to apply?
Not at all. We care much more about great content, creativity and whether your style feels like a good fit for Purepop.
Do I need to be an influencer?
Nope. We work with all kinds of creators, including UGC creators, photographers and people who simply know how to make great content.
Do I need to be based in South Africa?
For most product collaborations, yes. Because we need to send products to you, we currently prioritise creators based in South Africa.
Is every collaboration paid?
Not necessarily. Some collaborations may be gifted, while others may be paid depending on the campaign, deliverables and creator.
We’ll always discuss this with you before anything is agreed.
Will I get free products?
For selected gifted collaborations, yes. The product you receive will depend on the campaign and what we think suits your content best.
What kind of content are you looking for?
Loads of different things.
Think unboxings, GRWMs, reviews, ASMR, day-in-the-life videos, lunch packing, outfit matching, product photography, lifestyle content and anything else you can put your own spin on.
Can I pitch my own idea?
Please do.

What happens after I apply?
Our team reviews applications regularly and keeps creators in mind for upcoming campaigns and product launches.
If we spot an opportunity that feels like a good fit, we’ll get in touch.
Will everyone who applies get a collaboration?
We’d love to work with everyone, but unfortunately we can’t.
Applying doesn’t guarantee a collaboration, but it does put you on our radar for future opportunities.
How will Purepop use the content I create?
Depending on the collaboration, you may be creating content specifically for Purepop to use on our own social media channels.
That content may also be used in paid advertising or other marketing, where agreed as part of the collaboration.
We’ll always make the intended usage clear before you create anything.
Can I apply again in the future?
Absolutely.
Your content and audience can change over time, so you’re welcome to apply again if your style evolves or you have a new idea you think we’d love.
How long do I have to create content?
Timelines depend on the campaign.
If you’re selected, we’ll let you know what’s needed and when before you agree to the collaboration.
Can this turn into a longer-term partnership?
Definitely.
Some collaborations may start with a single piece of content, while others can grow into regular campaigns, ongoing UGC, launches or longer-term partnerships.
