60 Flasks And A Garage

PurePop started in a garage in Ballito, KZN in 2025 with 60 thermal flasks and one simple belief: that a stainless steel flask should not cost a fortune, and that it should come in a colour you actually want to carry around. It turns out that other people also wanted colour in their lives. 60 flasks became 600, 600 became 6000, and somewhere in there we had to go and find a warehouse.

"Keeping Up"

Behind the numbers was a lot of tape, a lot of bubble wrap, and a lot of weekends. Every order got packed by hand on a table in the garage, checked, and handed to the courier before cut-off. Plus a running education in how much stock to order from our suppliers and when, which is a skill we are still working on.

April 2026

Our New Home

The garage is now a warehouse in Ballito. The table is now a packing bench, and there is a small team behind every flask that goes out, checking each one the same way I did on my own. Same ambition, bigger scale: a PurePop flask within reach of anyone in South Africa who wants one, wherever they happen to be shopping.

We're still learning as we grow, but these are the things we focus on getting right every time.

Every design comes in a range of colours, because the thing you carry every day should feel like yours.

We check every batch that comes in from our suppliers. If there's something we can do better next time, we do it.

HONESTY

We're learning as we go and we still get things wrong. When we do, we say so and we sort it out.

Are you a South African company?

Yes. PurePop is a South African brand based in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, trading as Converting Media Group (Pty) Ltd.

Our flasks are manufactured overseas to specifications we set, as insulated drinkware cannot be produced in South Africa at scale. Every other aspect of the business is based here. Stock is quality checked, engraved, packed and dispatched from our Ballito warehouse, and packaging, printing and marketing are sourced from South African suppliers wherever possible.

Do you ship internationally?

Not currently.

Are you hiring?

Yes. PurePop is growing, and roles are advertised on the careers page as they open.

Are you VAT registered?

Yes. Converting Media Group (Pty) Ltd, trading as PurePop, is a VAT registered South African company. All prices displayed on the website are inclusive of VAT, and a tax invoice can be requested for any order.
