Working at PurePop
Flexible Setups
Some roles are hybrid, some are hands-on in our Ballito warehouse and office. Either way, we keep things flexible where the work allows and we trust people to manage their own time.
A Better Week
We care about output, not hours logged. Some roles run a four-day week, others keep set hours, but nobody here is expected to grind for the sake of looking busy.
Growing, and Local
PurePop started in a Ballito garage with 60 flasks. We now ship nationwide from our own warehouse. The team is still small enough that your work is visible and your ideas move fast.

PurePop Thermal Flasks | Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal
About PurePop
PurePop is a South African insulated drinkware brand based in Ballito. We design and sell thermal flasks across five ranges, we ship nationwide from our own warehouse, and we've grown quickly by making a product people actually want to be seen carrying. Our next step is building the social presence to match.
The Role
We're looking for someone to own our organic social growth and influencer partnerships end to end. This is 100% organic reach and strategic partnerships: no media buying, no paid budget to manage.
Three things sit at the centre of the job. You'll run our influencer collaborations from first contact through to published post, editing the images and video that come out of them. You'll plan our shoots and work alongside our photographers to get the concepts right on the day. And you'll create content that goes beyond product shots, shooting and editing behind-the-scenes material from the warehouse and founder-led stories about how PurePop is being built.
You'll have real creative autonomy here. We're not looking for someone to execute a brief we've already written.
What You'll Do
Develop and run platform-specific social strategies for TikTok and Instagram
Identify and recruit creators who fit the PurePop aesthetic
Manage collaborations end to end: outreach, negotiation, product logistics, deadlines, approvals and tracking what each partnership returned
Write detailed creative briefs for influencers and content creators
Edit creator footage and imagery into content we can post and repurpose across platforms
Plan our photoshoots from concept through to delivery: mood boards, locations, models, props, shot lists and scheduling
Work alongside our photographers on shoot days, briefing the concept and art directing on set
Develop, shoot and edit behind-the-scenes and founder-led content, filming in the warehouse and with the founder to show the brand behind the product
Source and liaise with external video editors when a project needs them
Schedule and publish content, then read the numbers and adjust what you're making
Act as the brand voice in comments and DMs, building a community rather than an audience
Supply our media buyer with creatives built to perform
What You'll Need
Matric, plus 2–3 years in social media and digital marketing
Hands-on editing experience across both video and images: you cut your own content and you're quick at it
Practical knowledge of how posting actually works, from hooks, captions and hashtags to posting times, trending audio and platform analytics
Experience planning and running shoots, not just turning up to them
A proven track record in organic growth and high-end mobile content creation
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar, plus photography and video skills
A real understanding of the South African influencer scene. If you're a creator yourself and have grown your own account, that experience counts for a lot here
Comfortable directing people on camera, including photographers, the founder and our warehouse team
A valid driver's licence and your own transport for shoots around Ballito, Umhlanga or Durban North
To be based in or near Ballito, Umhlanga or Durban North and happy to commute to Ballito
Strong organisation, initiative and the ability to run your own diary
What We Offer
A 3 or 4-day work week, part-time
Hybrid setup: work from home, with one half-day in our Ballito office each week for meetings, plus shoot days on site as needed
Freedom to lead brand-building and creative strategy
The chance to build your own network across the SA influencer space
